Beginning of nIALL project
.
.
.
Following the nIALL project workshops on April 27th and 28th, the installation work at the site began on April 29th.
This installation is an extraordinary plan to create temporary housing on land as large as four hectares. It began with dividing the land with stakes and boards. Most of the volunteer workers are students who study in Hokkaido and have attended the previous workshops. As most of them studied architecture, they are fast learners! The original plan was that twenty workers would take one week to survey, set stakes, and put up the boards, however, the process went faster than expected, giving us enough time to do “hanami” in the middle of the schedule. Their power and the completed divisions of four hectares on the last day assured us a town of an art project to appear in Demeter.
