Director’s Talk “Demeter No Demae (The Delivery of Demeter)”
.
.
.
It rained hard on the afternoon of August 2nd, just like the rain we had the day before the press opening of Demeter. However, there were more than ninety people gathered at Tochoji in Shinjuku.
Mr. Takashi Arakawa, art journalist, and Mr. Takashi Serizawa spoke showing slides and the latest videos in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Two hours passed very quickly. (We of course didn’t show everything--- the presentation made people want to go to see Demeter!)

After August 20th, the price of airplane tickets will come down, so there are many who plan to go to Obihiro at that time. During the break, people enjoyed pasta made using ingredients from Tokachi. People discussed how they could get to Obihiro and spend less money. The latest information will be sent via e-mail to the participants, to invite them to Demeter under the Tokachi blue sky.

Mr. Shinkawa’s idea on flying to Obihiro
During the high season, it costs about 70,000 yen to fly to Obihiro. You can go to New York with this much money. It is expensive for students as well as working people. So, why not go to New York using the 70,000 yen and save the frequent flyer mileage to go to Obihiro? This is recommended for the people who have time to travel.
