Atsumi cut out by “shooting” the Tokachi landscape and
everyday movement of the people and “editing” into mysterious
images to create a film on the town. The local musicians play music.

of Mayu Atsumi
Born in 1980. Lives in Obihiro. As Atsumi loved to draw ever since
she was a small child, she became interested in visual images.
On October 21, 2000, she joined Akemi Kai's performance “Ningyo
Yuugi (Doll Play).” Atsumi also collaborated in music videos
for local bands. She understands video as a “sequences of
paintings.” She uses blur colors to create world without
outlines.
